William C. Hoggard
Scope of Practice
Mr. Hoggard has over 10 years of litigation experience in California, with substantial experience in complex business litigation disputes, complex construction contract claims, public works, lien and job right enforcement, and commercial collections. Mr. Hoggard has represented a number of developers, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, sureties, medical related service companies and technology related companies in various disputes through trial, arbitration or mediation.
In addition to Mr. Hoggard’s litigation practice, he also assists clients with incorporating various businesses entities, drafting and negotiating construction contracts, employment contracts, buy/sell agreements and operating agreements.
Affiliations and Activities
Mr. Hoggard was admitted to the California Bar in 1997. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central and Southern Divisions. He is a member of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Hoggard is active in several trade organizations in the Southern California area. He has authored several articles for construction related trade magazines, and has been a panelist for Lorman on lien, surety and other job right related issues. Mr. Hoggard has also enjoyed being a speaker for several trade groups on matters relating to contract issues.
Education
Mr. Hoggard earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, with Honors, in History from California State University, Fullerton in 1994. Mr. Hoggard then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1997. While at the University of California, Davis, Mr. Hoggard served as an editor for the school’s Law Review.
